Division on water-leakage due to mining in arid region,in China
Chinas coal-mining center is transferring to west in arid climate.This paper chooses a typical mining area, Shennan mining area, in the arid region in north Shaanxi province, to investigate its water resources distribution and engineering geological characteristics, especially the loess/laterite permeability.On the basis of the above discussion and taking the cracks height, loess/laterites thickness and bedrocks thickness as factors, a division method about water-leakage is proposed.The method divides the whole area into six zones-I1, I2,I3 and I4 in sand-covered area according to leakage level, and Ⅱ1 and Ⅱ2 in loess/laterite-exposed area according to cracks height caused by mining.This division method provides an environment evaluation model on sandy aquifer during mining and this work program can be launched before mining with just basic data which can be easily obtained by previous exploration.
