Geochemical Characteristics of Gacun Kuroko-Type Zn-Pb-Cu Deposit in Western Sichuan Province,China
The Gacun deposit is the largest Kuroko-type Zn-Pb-Cu deposit discovered to date in China, occurs in the upper part of the rhyolitic volcanic rocks of Late Triassic Gacun Formation, and exhibits broad similarities to Kuroko deposits of Japan, characterized by occurring as upper stratiform and lower net-stockwork orebodies. The homogenization temperatures of fluid inclusions dropped gradually from >300 ℃ to <150℃ from the lower to the upper ores.Temperatures of Ⅱ, Ⅲ , and Ⅳ metallogenic stages were 260-209℃, 318-262℃ and 185-114℃, respectively. The salinity was 18.4 to 6.05 equiv.wt.% NaCl.High temperature and high a2s of ore fluids during Stage Ⅲ caused the dissolution and leaching of Stages Ⅰ and Ⅱ minerals, followed by the initial metallic zoning.Hydrogen isotope data indicate that ore fluids (-29.0 to-68.1 ‰) for the lower ore was mixed and that (-93.5 to-151.1 ‰) for the upper ore was close to the Late Triassic seawater. The δ34S data show that the sulfur in the lower ore (-4.6 to +3.1‰) was dominantly of magmatic origin and that in the upper ore (+13.8 to +22.5‰) is predominantly of seawater sulfate. The Pb isotope data show the lead being predominately of magmatic origin as Sr reflecting a sedimentary origin.
