Environmental Effects of Development and Utilization of Shallow Geothermal Energy
Shallow geothermal energy is a green and environmentally friendly new energy resource, and has great potential of exploitation.However, the development of shallow geothermal energy may have a negative impact on geological environment and ecological environment such as: pollution of groundwater, groundwater lowering, even land subsidence.If strictly technical measures are taken, and technical standards and specifications are strictly implemented, these negative consequences can be avoided even completely eliminated.From a macroscopic perspective, the shallow geothermal energy is widely distributed, easy to exploit, mature in technology of exploitation, it can be exploited in a large scale, and became a highly promising renewable energy and clean energy, reducing depletion for natural resources and environment resources.A number of policy suggestions have been put forward.
