Study on Stability of Mined-Out Area Based on PLAXIS
The problems of instability and collapse caused by underground mining is very notable, and hidden mined-out area is also a waste of land resources, therefore stability evaluation of mined-out area is of great social significance and economic significance increasingly.Taking a coal mined-out area for an example, firstly, the stability of mined-out area was numerically simulated by using the software of PLAXIS, and then the values of surface subsidence of mined-out area were calculated with the finite element analysis.Secondly, based on the value of subsidence, the values of inclination, horizontal deformation and curvature were figured out according to the specification, and the corresponding contour maps were plotted by using the software of Surfer; then the major factors affecting the stability of mined-out area were determined according to the results of stability zoning corresponding to the above four indexes. Finally, comprehensively considering the above results of stability zoning, the site stability in the area was evaluated and thus the collective diagram of zoning of stability evaluation was obtained, which can provide the reliable basis for the building foundation and site selection.
