Deepening the Three Thirds System Geological Practice Teaching to Cultivate Geological Talent

　　In order to foster geological talents in new period, this paper based on the characteristics of earth sciences and school specialty, thinks that we should organically combine geoscientific theory teaching, experimental practice teaching and basic skills training with innovative awareness training, and establish educational philosophy of the student-oriented and the combination of imparting knowledge, cultivating ability, enhancing quality and coordinated development.By creating the talent training mode of three thirds system with implementing thebasic theory verification-basic technical operations-development and application of innovative three-level experimental and practical teaching contents and closely integrating the classroom teaching, aiter-class exercitation and field practice, our university has achieved goodsuccess in fostering application-oriented senior professionals who can endure hardship, be good at practice, and have the ability of management and innovation.
