US Pivot to Asia,Chinas Global Rise and Sino-Latin Relationship
The existing literature on Sino-Latin relationship is overwhelmingly dominated by economic aspect.Since 2008, political and strategic considerations have started to have a huge impact on Sino-Latin rehtionship.In particuhr, Chinas leadership pays more, at least equal attention to the political and strategic interactions with Latin America than that to the economic interactions which is particularly the case under the new leadership of Xi Jinping.This paper will study Sino Latin political and strategic relationship from the perspectives of Chinas global rise and US pivot to Asia.It argues that China is and will further establish and develop its political and strategic presence in Latin America.China is changing its foreign policy towards Latin America by shifting its focus on economic aspect to political、 economic and strategic aspects which means that China is becoming more and more interested in seeking overall interests in Latin America than subordinate one.
