Research on the Noise Mechanism and Characteristics of the Diesel Engine Turbocharger
The internal flow field computational model of the supercharged marine diesel engine turbocharger was built,then the airflow velocity distribution and the turbulent flow field in the impeller flow passage of compressor was calculated.It was obtained that the airflow velocity near the top outlet of compressor blades distributes from 1.02 Mach to 1.1 Mach.By using the numerical integration method based on acoustic analogy (FW-H equation),the frequency spectrum of the aerodynamic noise source of compressor impellers which consisted of the discrete Blade Passing Frequency(BPF) and its harmonic components was analyzed.Furthermore,the aerodynamic noise spectrum characteristics of the top outlet of the main blades and splitter blades were compared.The results of calculation show that the amplitude of aerodynamic noise will increase about 12dB when the compressor rotating speed is doubled.
