Equivalent Membrane Model of Pretensioned Paraboloidal Cable Nets
Cable net structures are being developed for a variety of space deployable structures.According to the energy equivalence principle,a kind of three-directional paraboloidal cable net structure is usually equivalent to an isotropic paraboloidal membrane structure. The strain and kinetic energy of free vibration of the paraboloidal cable nets and its equivalent membrane are calculated first, and then the energy equivalence principle is adopted to obtain the equivalent parameters of membrane by equating the energies of membrane and cable nets during free vibration. Finally, taking the cable net structure used in large hoop deployable antenna as an example, the natural vibration characteristics of cable net and its equivalent membrane are analyzed. The results show that the natural frequencies and mode shapes are all in good agreement, which verifies the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method.
