Piezoelectric Tube Actuator System Design and Control Simulation

In this paper,a coupled piezoelectric tube actuator-flap system is derived for active flap rotors.Through mechanical tailoring,the resonance frequencies of the actuator system can be tuned to the desired actuation frequencies.The resonance peak of the coupled system is broadened and flattened through an electric network.A zero-phase-error tracking controller (ZPETC) was used to track the desired flap deflection.Simulation studies show that the piezoelectric tube actuator has high authority with a broad frequency bandwidth,satisfies the requirements of helicopter vibration reduction; the ZPETC is able to precisely track the flap deflection.
