Vibration Testing and Analysis of Railway Tamping Device During Tamping Process

  The tamping device is used to maintain railway ballast bed,whose function is to lift sleeper to a desired level,fill the void under the sleeper by compaction action,ensure smoothness of railway track and improve the train safety.To analysis the influence of tamping vibration to the railway ballast during tamping process,it is important to study the vibration characteristics of tamping device itself.In this paper,a vibration testing and analysis of tamping device during tamping process by a series of testing experiments was studied.This test contents mainly include three-part of tamping process,namely the penetration of tamping tines in the ballast,clamping between two tines and withdrawing of tamping tines after fulfilling operation.On the basis of the principle of tamping device,test reasons,vibration test contents and engineering practice,a testing method and a systematic testing procedure were proposed,including experiment instruments,construction of vibration experiment system,vibration testing and data analysis.To the end,a large amount of testing data of tamping process was extracted and the vibration law of tamping device was observed.The results show that this vibration test method and test procedure is feasible.Even more important,all of these provide a foundation and reference for further study.
