Time Domain Modal Parameters Identification Based on Hierarchical Genetic Algorithm

  This paper proposes a new method of modal parameter identification in time domain.In this method.hierarchical genetic algorithm is applied to construct the chromosome with hierarchical structure which can contain both the orders of system mode and the corresponding modal parameters.On the base of that,the optimum individual in the chromosome can be found by genetic algorithm,which means the optimum order of the system mode in a certain range of frequency and the cor- responding parameters can be identified simultaneously.Numerical simulations demonstrate that the new method can robustly identify the orders of system mode and all modal parameters including the amplitude,frequency,damping ratio and phase.
