Stall Inception Identification of Axial-flow Compressors Based on the Combination of Stationary Wavelet Filtering and Cross-correlation Analysis
In order to improve the compressor’s stability,sufficiently identify and monitor the stall inception character and attain early stall warning.Considering the pressure signal of the high speed axial-flow compressors,this paper proposes a new unique thinking of the combination of stationary wavelet transform and cross-correlation analysis.Firstly using stationary wavelet transform to filter the signal,secondly compares the filtered signal of one blade pitch with that of the identical blade pitch one revolution before and computes their correlation coefficient and based on the correlation degradation to provide stall warning sufficiently.Measurement results show that the correlation coefficient can monitor the stall inception and the feature of stall successfully and computation is simple.So,it is particularly important for indicating the approach to the compressor stability limit and mechanism analysis of the problem.
