Algorithm for Passive Localization with Single Observer Based on Ambiguous Phase Differences Measured by Rotating Interferometer
Aiming at the problem that many receiving channels will be needed when using traditional interferometer localization system, a new passive localization system based on rotating interferometer is proposed. The system could achieve high localization precision quickly through only two receiving channels. To deal with the difficulty when locating emitter through the ambiguous phase differences, a novel algorithm is proposed by creating evaluation function to quantize the reconnaissance area, and just letting the emitter position corresponds exactly to the maximum. The algorithm avoids resolving phase ambiguity and could achieve high localization precision. The feasibility of the localization algorithm is proved by computer simulations.
