Analysis on Temporal-spatial Distribution and Change Trend of the Aquatic Environment in Chinese watershed
The research aimed to analyze temporal-spatial distribution and change trend of the aquatic environment in Chinese watershed based on the aquatic environmental quality monitoring data in 10 Chinese watersheds from 2005 to 2010. We used the methods of comprehensive water quality index (WQI) and shared rate of pollution load. And then, based on the economy and wastewater emission data also from 2005 to 2010, we analyzed the relationships between the economic factors, wastewater emission and the temporal-spatial distribution and change characteristics of the aquatic environment in China. The results showed that the aquatic environmental quality and the water pollution characteristics are closely related to the economic and industrial development in China. This research can help to understand the temporal-spatial distribution and change trend of the aquatic environment in China, improve the national prevention strategy for water pollution, and provide a basis for a better aquatic environmental condition. The results showed that only the integrated pollution indexes of Haihe river and Huaihe river basin were climbing up and then declining from upstream to downstream, the integrated pollution indexes of other river basins existed gradually increasing trend from upstream to downstream, and from the west to the east. This indicates that economic development has a close relationship with the integrated pollution index of the basin. The integrated pollution indexes of Haihe river basin were much higher than other river basin with higher GDP provinces, such as Shandong and Guangdong, whose integrated pollution index were higher than other provinces, however, the GDP of Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu and other provinces were not high, the integrated pollution index is relatively low.
