Influence of the Corrosion on the Ultimate Bearing Capacity of RC Beams
Corrosion is the most significant factors which deteriorate the durability of reinforced concrete (RC) structures.To provide the baseline for life-cycle performance design, the influence of corrosion on the ulti mate bearing capacity (UBC) of RC beams are investigated.The acceleration corrosion process is implemen ted on RC beams by constant current.Then, the moment-deflection curves of RC beams with different corro sion degree are obtained.Simultaneously, the calculation model of corroded beam is developed to predict UBC of RC beams.Furthermore, the calculation results and experimental results are compared and dis cussed in detail.
