Analysis on High Strength Concrete Frame Joint at Elevated Temperatures
In this paper, the fire resistance behavior of a reinforced concrete frame joint cast with C100 high strength concrete (hereafter, HSC) is studied by the ABAQUS program.Firstly, the thermal parameters and constitutive relations of HSC and rebar at elevated temperatures are obtained and set by literature review.Secondly, the temperature field of frame joint during the fire exposure following ISO-834 is calculated by the ABAQUS program.Thirdly, the bearing capacities of the frame joint after different times of fire exposure are calculated and compared.It is concluded that the failure characteristics of joint changes from shear failure of the core region to compression failure of the lower column with the increase of exposure time.
