Effect of Anchorage Exposed to Fire on Thermal and Structural Response of Prestressed Anchorage Systems
In order to research effect of unsealed anchorage under fire exposure on fire resistance of prestressed concrete beams and slabs, a prestressed anchorage system is designed, which composed by JXM-clip anchor age, high strength φ7 steel bar for PC (with a characteristic strength fptk =800 MPa) with surrounding con crete and loading frame. Results from fire resistance experiments on 23 prestressed anchorage systems are presented in this paper. The test variables included stress level (the ratio of effective stress tofptk from 0.2 to 0.7) of steel bar for PC, temperature of anchorage (200 ~ 800 ℃) and heating rate (10 and 26.7 ℃/min).Data from the experiments is utilized to study the effect of critical parameters on fire re sponse of prestressed anchorage systems.Test results show that temperature and stress level have significant influence on fire resistance and failure mode of prestressed anchorage system. The steel bar for PC slipped from anchorages during fire.Factors governing failure mode of prestressed anchorage systems is discussed. The lower the stress level, temperature and heating rate, the higher will be the fire resistance in prestressed anchorage systems.
