Numerical Simulation of RC Frame Based on ABAQUS Beam Element
Based on the experimental study of reinforced concrete frame structure with threestoreys and two spans, simultaneously, to calibrate the mechanics performance of concrete and reinforcing steel, 12 prismatic speci mens were tested and 6 for tensile test and the other for compressive test.The software ABAQUS is used to simulate the RC frame.In the numerical simulation, beam element is adopted.Meanwhile, the tension stiff ening effect and the influence of stirrup of concrete is taken into account and the constitutive relationship of plain concrete is modified to simulate the real state.In order to understand the effect of the concrete constitu tive relationship on the analysis of the whole structure, two types of constitutive relationship of concrete are adopted.One is the concrete damaged plasticity model (CDP) which is provided in ABAQUS and the other is the constitutive model recommended by Code for design of concrete structure in China (GBSO010-2010).For constitutive model recommended by the Code, two groups of parameters are adopted.One is determined by the concrete specimens test and the other is according to the suggestion of the Code.Three types of con crete constitutive models were adopted to simulate RC frame structure and the calculated results were com pared with the experimental results and they are in agreement with each other.
