Numerical Simulation on Moment-rotation Behavior for Unbonded Post-tensioned Precast Concrete Beam-column Connections
An unbonded post-tensioned (PT) precast concrete beam-column connection is constructed by post-ten sioned the beam and the column using high-strength steel strands that are not bonded to the concrete. The PT tendons connect the precast beam and the column to resist moment and provide self-centering capacity.Numerical models of 5 beam-column connections subjected to monotonic and cyclic loading are built and ana lyzed via the general FEM software.Moment-rotation behavior of each connection is further investigated. And the influence of the main parameters such as the initial post-tensioned stress, reinforcement ratio of the precast beam, stirrup ratio of the beam and eccentricity of the post-tensioned tendons is discussed. The self centering behavior of the connections is also investigated. The results show that the connections have ade quate stiffness and strength capacity and good self-centering performance.Under 4% drift, the column and the main part of the beam remain elastic.
