Numerical Study of RC Frame Structure Subjected to Inside Blast

  A feasible procedure to simulate the blast inducedcollapse of RC frame structure is developed in the present work.The effect of blast is considered as a time history of pressures applied on the structural ele ments.The damage model is introduced to describe the softening of concrete and the degradation of steel re inforcing bar subjected to extremely large strain is also taken into account.Explicit finite element model is a dopted to simulate the strong nonlinear structural behaviors.In the end, a numerical example shows the va lidity and effectiveness of the proposed procedure.
