Numerical Simulation of Dynamic Responses for the Tunnel Lining During Metro Operation
Taking Shanghai Metro as study case, a three dimensional tunnel model was established by the finite el ement method and the dynamic load of running train was simulated. The Newmark integral algorithm was used to conduct numerical analysis of the dynamic response of tunnel lining to train vibration by stepwise loading. And the calculation results of numerical models with different dimensions were compared. It was shown that the vertical responses of tunnel lining were maximum under train loads, followed by transverse re sponses, and longitudinal responses. The changes in the depth of model had great effect on the transverse mechanical behavior of lining structure, while the changes in the width of model had little effect. The numeri cal simulation was aimed to provide theoretical basis for the monitoring analysis and the selection of computa tion modle in real engineering.
