Protection Effect of Railway Wind Barrier under Cross Wind

  The wind barrier with three kind of porosity and four heights has been investigated in wind tunnel test on three line structure forms by means of force measurements and wind pressure row tube under the cross wind.Discussed the energy mechanism and drag mechanism, and the lift mechanism of railway wind barrier was proposed, the dynamic response of vehicle was calculated by the coupling vibration of wind-vehicle-bridge (line) method used the code of BANSYS, It is presented that the effect of sudden change of vehicle wind loads was measured by aerodynamic coefficients of single train, the protection effect of wind barrier was eval uated by data envelopment analysis (DEA) when the capacity of wind load sudden change and the dynamic response of vehicle were considered as the input index, and its consistency was also discussed.The results show that the wind protection effect of wind barrier is the result of the combined effects of resistance mecha nism with the lift mechanism, the method of comprehensive evaluation should be used by the protection effect evaluation of railway wind barrier, and the sudden change of vehicle wind load is in good agreement with the vehicle response index.
