Research on the antibacterial property of cotton fabric treated with scutellaria baicalensis georgi extract
In order to make the cotton fabric a good antibacterial properties, the cotton fabric treated with skullcap extract was obtained after hot water treatment, and the orthogonal experiment was designed in conditions of extract concentration (relative to the extracted liquid), temperature, pH, mordanting method as factors.Experimental results showed that after the media processing the cotton fabric in the conditions of Scutellaria extract concentration of 80%, pH value of 9, temperature of 80℃ has good antibacterial properties.Its antibacterial rate of bacillus subtilis was 86.69% and its antibacterial rate against escherichia coli was 74.77%.After washed 3 times or 10 times, its inhibition rate of bacillus subtilis was 84.73% and 72.37%, respectively, and its antibacterial rate of e.coli was 70.78% and 64.27%, respectively.
