Visualization simulation technology of cloth deformation based on mass spring model and its prospect
The fabric deformation simulation technology based on mass-spring model was a current hot spot of fabric simulation.In this paper, several typical models in terms of the fabric deformation simulation technology were briefly introduced, and the mass-spring model proposed by Provot emphatically was elaborated firstly.Secondly, some optimization methods for mass-spring model were introduced in three ways: optimizing models parameters, avoiding the super-elasticity, improving performance of simulation system.The simulations ideas of combining the computer vision technology with algorithm were put forward after the advantages and disadvantages of the optimization model were analyzed and compared.Finally, the prospect of the mass-spring model was previewed.The mass-spring model in development should be supposed to establish the simulation effect evaluation, improve the model performance and broaden the application further and effectively, and be able to model various textile materials in order to assist producers or designers to select and use fabrics reasonably.
