Research on plane propagation of stress wave of fiber reinforced composites in low velocity impact
In this paper, by analyzing the loss of impact energy in the composite, the main impact factors of plane propagation of stress wave of several fiber reinforced composites were sought in low-velocity impact, and the mechanism of the plane propagation of stress wave was explored.The experimental results showed that the plane propagation of stress wave of fiber-reinforced composites deceased with the distance increasing.The fiber reinforced composites of unidirectional fabric was conducive to the plane propagation of the stress wave.The propagation rate of stress wave in the carbon fiber reinforced composites of unidirectional fabric was the best.The propagation velocity of stress wave in HMPE fiber-reinforced composites is the fastest.
