Property research on cotton fabric finished with chitosan/Ag+ antibacterial agent

  The antibacterial mechanism of chitosan and Ag+ was different.When they were alone as an antibacterial agent, they both had shortcomings.Composite antibacterial agent for cotton fabric was prepared by blending chitosan with Ag+.After the orthogonal experiment, the results were made that the chitosan concentration, Ag+ concentration and PH of composite antibacterial agent all affected the antibacterial properties and the wearability of cotton fabrics.The results showed that when the concentration of chitosan was 0.6g/L, the concentration of Ag+ was 0.6mg/L and the PH was 7, the antibacterial rate of cotton fabric could reach 93%.After washing 30 times the reduction of antibacterial rate was not obvious.After finishing, the damage on fracture strength and whiteness were less, and the crease resistance of cotton fabric was improved.
