Research on the application of PAN fiber in concrete
In this paper, application technology of PAN fibers in concrete was studied to explore the effect of PAN fibers on improving the mechanical properties of concrete.Through test of compression strength, flexural strength and crack resistance of the concrete that contained PAN fibers, the influences of PAN fibers content and their length on the mechanical properties of concrete were studied.Experimental results showed that PAN fibers could effectively improve the mechanical properties of concrete, such as compressive behavior, bending behavior and cracking resistance performance in the same ratio of water to cement conditions.The optimum conditions that the concrete obtained better mechanical properties were that PAN fiber content in concrete was 0.9kg/m3 and the fiber length was 9mm.
