Seasonal Variations and Forms of Organic Phosphorus in Surface Soils of the Yeyahu Wetland in Beijing, China
Distributions and the mobility-transformation of phosphorus (P) forms in wetland soil play an important role in the water eutrophication and ecological balance of the wetland.The Yeyahu Wetland in Beijing was selected as the research object in this study.Chemical sequential extraction method was used to investigate the contents of total phosphorus (TP) and total organic phosphorus (TOP) which includes labile organic phosphorus (L-OP),moderately labile organic phosphorus (ML-OP),moderately resistant organic phosphorus (MR-OP) and highly resistant organic phosphorus (HR-OP).Correlations between the contents of different organic phosphorus forms and soil physico-chemical properties in surface soil of the Yeyahu Wetland were also analysed in this paper.The results showed that the contents of soil total P were in the range of 352.3-836.1 mg-kg1.Surface soil total P and most P fractions were significantly correlated with the growth cycle of the vegetations.In growth seasons,the concentrations of surface soil TP were relatively lower,while in the litter period,the concentrations of surface soil TP were much higher.Resistant organic P is the primary form in soil organic P (accounting for 90.28% of the organic P).Its content was negatively correlated with soil pH.MR-OP and HR-OP is obviously positive correlation with moisture contents (0.479,P<0.01and 0.408,P<0.01),and also there were significant positive correlation with organic matter (0.752,P<0.01 and 0.516,P<0.01).Other forma of organic P showed little correlation with soil physical and chemical properies.
