Visible Light Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B by Bi2W06 Prepared via Microwave-assisted Method
Bi2W06 was successfully synthesized via microwave-assisted reaction of Bi2W06 precursor in aqueous solution using a microwave system.The morphology,structure and photocatalytic performance in the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction spectroscopy,UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,respectively.The results show that Bi2W06 synthesized at pH value of 1 exhibits an optimal photocatalytic performance with a RhB degradation rate of 85.3% at 240 min under visible light irradiation due to the higher light absorption and lower electron-hole pair recombination.
