Screen and Characteristics of a Denitrifying Phosphate-removal Bacteria Isolated from Circular Pug-flow Reactor
A bacterial strain named C-17 isolated from the activated sludge in circular plug-flow reactor was capable of denitrifying phosphate-accumulating,which was identified as Pseudomonas sp.according to the physiological and biochemical characteristics and 16S rDNA sequence homology comparison analysis. The study on capability of denitrifying phosphate- accumulating showed that the removal efficiency of P043-P and N03--N is 88.97% and 86.57%,respectively.At the same time, the amount of phosphorus release under the condition of considering and without considering anabolism of bacterium is 28.27 mg P043-P/ g SS and 26.97 mg P043-P/ g SS,respectively.Poly-β- hydroxybutyric (PHB) was considered as the key factor during the denitrifying phosphate-accumulating process.
