Effect of Tween-60 Addition on Heavy Metal Solubilization from Sludge with Bioacidification-Fenton Oxidation
The objective of this work was to investigate effect of tween-60 addition on heavy metal solubilization from sewage sludge treated by bioacidification combined with Fenton oxidation.Six tween-60 concentrations of 0,2,4,6,8 and 10 g/L were set for enhancing heavy metal removal from sludge. Results showed that different concentrations of tween-60 exhibited distinct effect on the heavy metal removal from sewage sludge. When tween-60 addition was 4 g/L,the heavy metal solubilization was significantly enhanced. However, the heavy metal solubilization was obviously inhibited when the tween-60 addition was higher than 8 g/L compared with the control.
