A Method for Business Needs Oriented Metadata Integration
Data integration has been widely used in enterprises.The problems of high integration complexity,close relation between data and applications and low data reusability exist in current metadata integration.Applying metadata integration method this paper proposes business needs oriented metadata model.Through XMI it realizes heterogeneous data source metadata auto-mapping to common meta-model.It is also capable of establishing global business areas common meta-model data dictionary based on semantic similarity; and automatically integrate metadata based on semantic according to user’s specific business application requirement.The paper demonstrated that the given method provides an effective way to realize heterogeneous date sources,data auto-integration and further improve data independence.
