Multi-objective Optimization for Complex Product Development Process Based on Stochastic DSM Simulation
Process architecture uncertainty which is the key feature for complex product development,is modeled by stochastic design structure matrix in this paper.Project duration and cost are minimized simultaneously by a multi-objective optimization problem.Meanwhile,a hybrid algorithm is designed to solve the optimization problem and to obtain the Pareto-optimal solutions.This hybrid algorithm combines DSM simulation with non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) that deals with uncertainties and constraints.Finally,the proposed hybrid algorithm is applied to a complex project development process optimization and the results illustrate that the hybrid algorithm is reliable and effective.
