Dynamic Tensile Fracture Characteristics of Ultra-High Strength Cold-Rolled Dual Phase Steels under High Strain Rate Deformation
In this paper,ultra-high strength cold-rolled ferrite/martensite dual-phase steels (DP1180) were obtained through performing the experiment with Gleeble-3500.Moreover,fracture mechanisms of dual phase steel DP1180 under high strain rate deformation were investigated by SEM and TEM.The results of the study show that the center of fractograph of both quasi-static and dynamic fraction exhibited typical ductile dimple fracture pattern; that there was a slight adiabatic shear phenomenon at edge fracture of DP1180 steel under the condition of high strain rate; and that martensite lath at quasi-static tensile fracture of DP1180 steel becomes slender and its dislocation density massively increases, while martensite lath at dynamic tensile fracture of DP1180 steel happen brittle rupture, and a large number of dislocations gather in the cracks.
