Influence of Austenitizing Time on Microstructure and Properties of Hot-Formed Steel
The influence of austenitizing time on the properties and microstructure of hot-formed steel was investigated.First the sample austenitized in an induction furnace with a protective atmosphere are heated to 900℃,and hold 2min,5 min,10min and 15min,and then the samples quickly placed in a flat mold to simulate hot stamping quenching test,then the quenched samples in material universal testing machine and metallurgical microscope were detection analysis of the mechanical properties and microstructure,the properties of the test steel with austenitizing time variation was gained,and it can be seen from the analysis results,when the test steel were austenitized at 900℃ and holding five minutes,the test steel strength is higher,preferably plastic,and gained lath martensite,and the hardness highest of the martensite.
