Effect of Hot Rolling Process and Precipitated Particle Control on n Value of IF Steel
The n value of IF steel produced by Shougang company is generally less than 0.24 in the long run,which is lower than that of other company such as TAGAL whose n value is higher than 0.24.On one hand,the present work discussed the difference between field emission SEM with electrolytic polishing and TEM with extraction replica on observing the precipitated particles.On the other hand,the reason of low n value is studied based on the result from SEM and TEM.Much more bulky TiS and Ti4C2S2 particles,as well as less dispersed and fine TiC particles are suggested to be responsible for the low n value.By adjusting the hot rolling process such as laminar cooling pattern,tapping temperature of slab,thickness control of transfer bare etc.and analysing n value change during subsequent cold rolling,the effect of process system and precipitated particle control on the change of n value was explored,and n value of Shougang IF steel was increased.
