Development of Dual Phase Steels at Tangsteel

　　Hot rolled and cold based galvanized C-Mn Dual Phase (DP) steels were developed at Tangsteel.The influence of process parameters on the product mechanical properties was carried out with Gleeble 3500.The production parameters were set according to simulation results.It was found that start temperature and duration for air cooling play a significant role in the production of hot rolled DP steels while soaking temperature and time during galvanizing are two dominant parameters for cold based steel.The final products show excellent tensile properties and good formability.
