Virtual Mill Dynamics Simulation of AHSS Pass Schedule Rolling
The modern AHSS steel grades play an essential and competing role in the modern industry.They are beneficial in the automobile industry in terms of vehicle weight reduction,human safety,fossil fuel reduction and environmental emissions savings.This grades exhibit excellent formability and the utmost tensile strength.Their manufacturing route is based on tandem hot and cold strip rolling and they generate limiting pass schedules with upper-bound rolling loads and speeds.For the optimal dimensioning of the mill equipment and the suitable mill dynamic behavior during rolling operation the prior application of an offline mill simulation tool is beneficial.This paper introduces the development and application of such a rolling mill simulation tool based on C++ coding and integrated MATLAB/Simulink architecture.
