Chemical Speciation of Rare Earth Elements by Sequential Extraction-Tracing Geochemical Processes in the Surface Sediment of the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea Using Rare Earth Elements
A sequential extraction procedure has been used to analyze national nearshore sediment reference material GBW07309 (GSD-9,the Yangtze River sediment); good recovery(> 85%)and precision(about 5%) was obtained. The REEs at six stations from the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea will be analyzed to obtain the REEs distribution patterns in this region.Additionally, their impacts in surface sediments will be investigated. These measurements together with others, such as grain-size analysis and mineral analysis, can help us better understand the associated geochemical processes.
