Cryptospore-like microfossils from the Cambrian Kaili Formation of eastern Guizhou Province, China
In comparison to cryptospores reported from the Middle Cambrian Bright Angel Shale in Arizona, USA and same fossils material obtained from the Middle Cambrian Log Cabin Mem ber, Pioche Shale, Nevada, USA, the palynomorph assembla ges of the Cambrian Kaili Formation from both the Wuliu Zengjiayan and the Jianshan sections contain similar crypto spore-like microfossils, in displaying the monads, dyads, tet rads and cluster. In consideration of that these cryptospore like microfossils are preserved together with marine invertebrate fossils, the cryptospore plants probably grew close to the shore line, in aquatic habitats.
