Japans Disaster Management and Its Implications for China
As a disaster-prone country, Japan has accumulated rich experience in disaster management.Main experience includes developing a relatively comprehensive legal system for disaster risk reduction,building disaster management agencies conducted by the Prime Ministers Office, formulating comprehensive disaster risk reduction management system for planning and information.China, in the social transformation, not only face frequent natural disasters, but also the occurrence of social emergencies is relatively high.More importantly,Chinas disaster management system still need to be improved.Thus Japans experience in disaster management has significant implications for China.This article reviews Japans disaster management system and its experience, and puts forward localized innovative policy proposals for Chinas disaster management.
