Dynamic Risk Assessment of Power System Catastrophic Event Caused by Cascading Failure
Considering highly coupled relationship between network topology and electrical operation state in the physical properties of power grid,a new method based on uncertainty risk assessment theory and connection number theory is proposed. The proposed dynamic comprehensive assessment method takes into account of static direct risk and dynamic potential risk to work up the comprehensive risk index.Though compare self-layer comprehensive risk index with next layer comprehensive risk index the failure propagation process is divided into cumulative effects stage and cascade effects stage. Then, ranking the failure events by the comprehensive risk index is to evaluate risk of event.Simulation results from the assessment of an area grid in china shown that the proposed method is practical and it can depict the complete risk of catastrophic events in power system well.
