A Novel MOA Detection Method Based on GPS Wireless Synchronization
A novel metal oxide arrester (MOA) detection method and its application system, based on GPS technology, have been developed to detect the fundamental harmonic of the MOA resistance leakage current, which uses the GPS time service to realize the high-precision offsite synchronous sampling, and the phase difference algorithm based on Fourier series which can reduce the interference of high-order harmonic and make the detection precision higher. At the same time,it employs the radio frequency communications based on nRF905 to simplify the detection wiring. The method helps to resist power outage and is convenient to operate, which has a positive meaning to the power supply reliability in a power system.
