Medicinal Mushrooms as A Remedy For Hiv/Aids and Cancers:The Promise They Offer
The Human Immunedeficiency Virus (HIV) and the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS),constitute one of the most dreaded and devastating human health challenges of our era.Cancer too,which has been known as a human health challenge for a much longer period,is increasingly killing millions of our people globally,in unprecedented proportions.Both HIV/AIDS and cancers are somewhat related,being associated with deficiencies or abnormalities in the bodys immune and cell systems.In this contribution,the potential of medicinal mushrooms as one of the promising remedies towards addressing the challenges is presented,and suggested future actions are recommended.
