Finite Deformation for Everted Compressible Hyperelastic Cylindrical Tubes
The eversion problem for a class of compressible hyperelastic thin-walled cylindrical tubes is examined. The mathematical model is formulated as a second-order nonlinear ordinary differential equation based on the theory of nonlinear elasticity, the boundary conditions and the end condition are also proposed. The relations among axial stretch rate, initial thickness and inner (outer) radius are obtained. The effects of material parameter and structure parameter on the finite deformation are discussed. It is shown that the initial thickness of the tube plays a significant role in the everting deformation.
