Crossing Speed of Pedestrian at an Unsignalized Intersection

摘要：

　　In this paper,a set of field measurements was conducted to obtain the data on crossing speed of pedestrians at an unsignalized intersection in the central area of Wuzhou City in China.The observed data show that pedestrians crossing speed fluctuates around the mean speed and does not perfectly accord with the normal distribution by using the DAgostino method.It is found that the statistical value of the mean speed is only 0.6 m/s when the waiting time is considered,whereas the mean speed is 0.8 m/s without considering the waiting time.
