Bottleneck Effect on a Bidirectional Two-Lane Mixed Traffic Flow
Based on the cellular automaton NaSch traffic flow model,a new bidirectional two-lane mixed traffic flow model with bottleneck is proposed.By numerical simulation,it is found that the traffic flow presents two phase transition points and forms a platform which is a typical characteristic of bottleneck,and the flow rate of the platform is about a half of maximum flow without bottleneck when the length of the bottleneck is less than the passing sight distance.
