Rock Mechanics Method Comparison on Slope Stability
Based on the theory of the slope stability analysis,this paper investigates and analyzes the limit eqnilibrium method and the finite element method under various conditions on waste disposal site at opencast mine.The findings demonstrate that the limit equilibrium method is the first choice if there are no weak base and weak layer at the disposal site.Otherwise,the combination of the finite element strength discounting method and the limit equilibrium method will provide a reliable outcome.The conclusions from this study were demonstrated in the real scenarios.
