Evaluation of Linear-Motor-Type Rail Brake Using a Test Vehicle for Practical Application

摘要：

　　We have developed a non-adhesion rail brake using a linear induction motor (LIM) technology to achieve stable braking force that is not affected by the condition of the rail tread surface.In this work,the LIM-type rail brake was installed on test vehicles,which is subjected to braking tests on a test track.We demonstrated that the LIM-type rail brake has the potential for use in actual vehicles.
