Field-Circuit Coupled Modeling for Linear Induction Motor Drive System

  In this paper,a novel method is presented for the analysis of linear induction motor (LIM) and its drive system considering the influence of iron saturation,end effects and the inverter PWM algorithm.The method is based on the field circuit coupled co-simulation.LIM control strategy and pulse width modulation (PWM) algorithm are included in circuit model and the electromagnetic field of LIM is calculated in 2D finite element model.The operation simulation with the same step and different step for two models are compared,the results from the same step simulation are more close to the experiment but more calculate time is used.The accuracy of field circuit coupled method is verified by experimental results in our Lab and this method also can be used in other motor drive systems.
